BATTAGRAM: The local administration on Wednesday introduced a new administrative initiative called ‘daily morning call’ to ensure maximum liaison between it and the line departments.

Battagram Deputy Commissioner Sardar Asad Haroon told Dawn that the initiative was meant to enhance the performance of line departments.

He said he would himself make calls to the heads of line departments in the morning between 8am to 9am to check their presence in their respective offices.

Mr Haroon said the purpose the morning call was to ensure 100 per cent attendance of the heads of departments with a view to improve service delivery. He said once the head of a department was punctual his subordinates were bound to follow the suit.

This innovation will help provide effective and efficient services to people, he said.
