Chief Selector Inzamam-ul-Haq on Saturday expressed hope that the national team would play well in the future.

"The issue with the Pakistani team is that there were no regular tours for the last six to eight years," said Inzamam while addressing a press conference.

However, he was confident that the team would perform well in the coming days.

the chief selector was of the view that people shed their hopes in their super stars too early, and that it should not be the case.

"Each and every team always play well in their own zone and conditions," he said, adding that the side had whitewashed Australia in the United Arab Emirates.

The Pakistan team had suffered a whitewash in the series against New Zealand, where the batting line had showed shallow play, where as the Pakistani batting line once again failed in the first day and night match against Aussies.

Australia had faced defeat recently, in a home series against South Africa where the guest team won the first two consecutive matches.

The first day and night Test, of a three matches series, between Pakistan and Australia was being played where Australia has set Pakistan 420 to win.
