KARACHI: West Indies heavy hitter Chris Gayle, Sri Lankan wicket keeper Kumar Sangakkara and fast-rising Pakistani batsman Babar Azam have been inducted into the Karachi Kings lineup for the second season of the Pakistan Super League (PSL2), according to a press release.

The Karachi Kings lineup already includes Shoaib Malik, Imad Wasim, Ravi Bopara, Mohammad Amir and Sohail Khan. According to the team roster, Sangakkara will additionally perform as team mentor.

Mickey Arthur will continue as Karachi Kings head coach, while Azhar Mahmood will be team coach and Rashid Latif team director.

PSL2 will be held in 2017 and may see its final played in Lahore, hopefully in March next year, according to PSL Chairman Najam Sethi.
