LAHORE: The Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf alleges that the ruling PML-N has plans to ‘infiltrate’ its youth force in the guise of PTI workers into the upcoming Sept 30 march on Raiwind – to create a chaos.

It says the PML-N government is also planning to thwart the PTI’s peaceful march by blocking roads, arresting participants, closing petrol pumps and installing shipping containers on the routes of the march.

The allegations have been levelled by PTI Central Deputy General Secretary Farrukh Habib in a letter sent to the Punjab chief secretary explaining party leadership’s apprehensions here on Sunday.

He says the PML-N has also created a ‘militant’ group “Nawaz Janisar Force” equipped with batons, clubs and deadly weapons. He says the PML-N is recruiting and training members in various parts of Punjab under the supervision of PML-N office-bearers, to create a law and order situation during the march.

PTI leader’s letter to chief secretary seeks preventive steps

He states that the PML-N with the motive to restrict the attendance during the march, has also plans to impound the public transport by using police, district administrations and Regional Transport Authority secretary etc.

Under these circumstances, Mr Habib stresses that the chief secretary should take firm measures to prevent PML-N office-bearers from taking illegal and unconstitutional actions.

He requests that the government should make arrangements for smooth entry of the PTI workers into the venue, without creating undue hurdles.

The PTI leader alleges it has come to his knowledge that few ‘mischief mongers’, including federal and provincial ministers, on the instructions of their leader Nawaz Sharif and others have planned to disrupt the protest.
