SHEIKHUPURA: A couple and their minor daughter were killed in an accident on Muridke Road in Maliyaan Kalan on Saturday.

Reports said that Yaqoob, his wife Saira and daughter Rabia were on the way when their car was hit by an oil tanker, injuring them seriously. All the three died while being taken to a hospital.

Saddar police are looking into the matter.

In another incident, five family members suffered serious injuries when a truck collided with their car on Faisalabad Road near Bhikhi.

Reports said the family was heading towards Faisalabad from Lahore when the incident happened.

The condition of the two of the five injured family members was stated to be serious. The identity of the injured could not be ascertained.

Bhikhi police have started investigating.
