SHEIKHUPURA: Two workers were buried alive when the roof of a basement collapsed here on Wednesday on Qila Sattar Shah Kot Pindi Das Road.
Reports said a number of labourers were working in the basement of a steel mill. Suddenly its roof caved in as a result Asif, 28, and Tahir Ramzan, 25, were buried alive whereas Gul Sher, Zafar and others sustained injuries.
Rescue 1122 recovered the bodies and shifted them to hospital.
The Factory Area police have started investigation.
