Pakistan leg-spinner Yasir Shah spent hours watching Shane Warne's videos preparing for the tour of England and is confident of making a successful comeback to the national side.

Shah, who was quick to leave a mark in Test cricket with 76 scalps in 12 matches, served a brief three-month ban after a positive dope test last year.

However, the 30-year-old has left behind the bitter memory and now looks to spin a web around the English batsmen at their home.

Talking to DawnNews before the national side's departure for England, Shah said: "I am in touch with Shane Warne and getting some tips from the legend, as he had a great record in England."

"I have watched videos of his bowling in England and learned some key things such as how he used to slow down his pace in England among other variations."

Shah expressed his desire to meet the Aussie great again. "It will be great if I'm able to meet him again, like in UAE last year."

Shah donned Pakistan's colours for the first time in 2011. However, he is yet to play in England.

He says the camps prior to the tour helped him a lot, adding that Test skipper Misbah-ul-Haq had boosted his morale by displaying trust in him.

The Pakistan team flew to England Saturday to play four Tests, five One-Day Internationals, and a Twenty20 International against the hosts, besides two ODIs against Ireland.
