KARACHI: A girl in the Pirabad area was arrested after she set her father on fire for what she said was the rape of her younger and older sisters, police said on Sunday.
In a statement to the police, the girl said she made the plan to set her father on fire after he attempted to rape her.
In a First-Information Report, her brother alleged that his sister drugged their father with sleeping pills on Friday and set him on fire, after which he succumbed to his injuries, Superintendent Police (SP) Investigation Akhtar Farooq said.
A case was registered against the accused under sections 302 (premeditated murder) and 334 (punishment for intention to cause hurt) of the Pakistan Penal CodeThe accused was taken into custody and is being held at the Women Police Station West Zone Liaquatabad Karachi, the SP said.

Unless this unfortunate girl comes with a sound proof of her allegations against her father, she cannot prove her father's fault. Instead of killing him she should have reported the crime of her father to police or some of her relative. If her father did commit the crime then he deserves death through legal system & not by her.

If she's succeed to prove that murder was committed in self defense then she's not liable for any punishment and it's comes under the ambit of self dedefense.
As for as her deceased father was concerned his case is also comes under the domain clinical pschychtrist. He was mentally ill.

I remember a case happened a couple of years ago where a girl killed her father, mother and brother for the love in Karachi. I hope this is not the case here.

There is ways to prove rape, it is called science (DNA testing). However in our country that is not accepted, they want to bring two adult men as witnesses of rape. So if the father was raping his daughters, only the girls and the father would know of it. So the only choice girls would have was to take the situation in their own hand knowing they will get no justice from the society, government, law and religion.

@badshah: I am always against innocent getting punished, in this case the girl is presumed innocent for no daughter will like her father commits such dirty offence against his daughter, now by killing her father she has become a murderer so she will also get punished. Just a sensible approach would have done what she wanted and at the same time she would have been free from such crime.

And here today we heard a girl has reported rape by her own dad. Over four months, the drunkard raped his own school going daughter . Even her mom refused to believe her. Then the brave girl one day enticed him with sex and videographed him in the act with the help of a friend. The mother was shocked when she saw the video. Hit her husband with Chappals in front of the police.

If the allegations against the father proves to be true definitely the Court will give the girl benefit of the same. Those who have commented that such case are not happening in the West may not be reading the western news. Every now and then we see in electronic media and news papers such most abhorrent cases of molestation by fathers happening in western Countries. These are one of the prominent signs of the impending annihilation of humanity including the most lethal epidemic of religious and racial hatred burning to ashes the higher values of morality, mutual love, respect and compassion like wild fire.

@Faizan Sexual deviance is very common in Pakistan. I have worked with enough NGOs to see how horrific it is. We saw what happened in Kasur. In other parts of Punjab these child abuse rings kidnap boys and girls and they actually receive support from ruling party mpas and police officials. And of course as we have seen some parents turn to abusing their own biological children and nieces and nephews. Very disturbing and disgusting.

@Life Yes there are some cases here in East Panjab a girl killed his father, mother, brother and sister just for love of a boy, but here his brother has lodged the complaint and her mother and sisters are also there who will tell what is the truth.

@SHAH We need to get better informed about the world and get a reality check. There are hundreds if not thousands of cases of such rapes in every western nation every year. Most young girls are sexually molested by their own fathers and close relatives. The difference is they blame the culprit not the whole nation.
