LAHORE: Federal Finance Minister Senator Ishaq Dar was re-elected unopposed chairman of the University of Health Sciences (UHS) Board of Governors on Sunday.

The reconstituted BoG in its maiden meeting on Sunday unanimously elected Mr Dar as chairman, said a spokesperson.

The Punjab governor who is also chancellor of the UHS had on Dec 23 notified the reconstituted BoG for a period of three years.

According to the notification, the non-official members of the BoG would be eminent orthopaedic surgeon Prof Dr Amir Aziz, UHS founding vice-chancellor Prof Dr Malik Husain Mubashir, First Women Bank Ltd former president Zarina Aziz, former high commissioner to Sri Lanka Seema Elahi Baloch. Secretaries of Punjab health and finance departments would be the ex-officio members.
