Iqbal’s PhD

Published October 9, 2015

This refers to the news ‘Justice Javed Iqbal passes away’, (Oct 4). The news says that like his father, Justice Javed Iqbal earned his PhD in Philosophy from the University of Cambridge in 1954. This is not correct. Allama Iqbal obtained his PhD in Philosophy from Ludwig Maximilian University, Munich, and not from the University of Cambridge.
