QUETTA: The Inspector General of Frontier Corps, Balochistan, Maj Gen Sher Afgun, has asked Baloch youths to end their armed fight against the state.

During a visit to Turbat and Panjgur on Sunday, he said the militants who would surrender before security forces and hand over weapons to the government would be given financial assistance.

He urged tribes to shun their differences for the sake of peace and development of their areas. “All tribal stakeholders will have to play their role for the cause of peace and progress and prosperity of the province.”

The IG said FC Balochistan would continue its action against terrorists and anti-peace elements. “We will not compromise on security and protection of life and property of common people,” he said.

He met tribal elders and said Turbat and Panjgur would become a model for development.
