LAHORE: PML-Q president Chaudhry Shujaat Husain has said the alliance train of the Muslim League has steamed off and every true Muslim Leaguer will board it.

He was talking to reporters after calling on disgruntled PML-N leader and former Punjab governor Sirdar Zulfiqar Khosa, his son and former chief minister Dost Mohammad Khosa at their residence here on Monday.

Chaudhry Shujaat said: “We will unite all Muslim Leaguers and we will visit all provinces as well as Azad Kashmir for this purpose. All factions of the PML will be brought together on one platform. The Muslim League will bring about a real change.”

He said the PML-Q and Zulfiqar Khosa’s objective was the same. He said other parties would also be contacted for alliance with the PML.

Zulfiqar Khosa and Dost Mohammad Khosa said they fully endorsed the efforts of Chaudhry Shujaat to unite all factions of the Muslim League. “We are with Chaudhry sahib for his efforts to bring all true Muslim Leaguers under one platform,” Zulfiqar Khosa said.

“The N-League is not the Muslim League. The Nawaz League is a personal league. By taking a timely decision Chaudhry Shujaat’s efforts will bear the fruit,” he said.

Shujaat had also met former president Gen Pervez Musharraf who agreed to form the united Muslim League.

He said Zulfikar Ali Bhutto had also been the secretary-general of the Muslim League.
