HYDERABAD / SUKKUR: An anti-terrorism court ordered on Wednesday issuance of non-bailable arrest warrants for Muttahida Qaumi Movement chief Altaf Hussain in two cases of sedition.

Fort police in Hyderabad, A-section police of Tando Allahyar and Matiari police had registered the cases on complaints of common citizens.

Mr Hussain is an absconding accused in the cases, which were lodged against him following his speech against the armed forces and the country’s other institutions in July.

Police have submitted final challans in the cases and the hearing is fixed for Aug 26.

Meanwhile, the court of civil judge declared Mr Hussain an absconder after Mirpur Mathelo police submitted the challan against him on Wednesday.
