SHEIKHUPURA: A man died after being administrated two wrong injections by a quack in Ladhey Ki Gharbi village on Tuesday.

According to reports, Jamil Rehmani consulted the quack, identified as Mushtaq Danish, to get treatment for backbone pain. The quack administered him two injections which induced loss of consciousness. Rehmani was being taken to hospital when he breathed his last. Narang police have arrested the quack and sealed his clinic.

The DCO took notice of the incident and ordered the executive district officer health to launch a drive against quacks and unqualified medical practitioners.

FALLS INTO MANHOLE: A five-year-old boy died after falling into an open manhole in the Nangal Kasoki area on Tuesday.

Azam, son of labourer Rafiq, was passing through the street when he accidentally fell into the manhole.

His body was recovered after two hours. The locals along with the parents of the victim protested against the apathy of the Muridke tehsil municipal administration and demanded action against the administrator for his negligence.

FOUND DEAD: A four-year-old boy who was abducted by an unidentified youth from Rachna Town was found dead in a ground in the same locality on Tuesday.

Yousaf, father of victim Ali Raza, said he had no enmity with any person.

Ferozewala police are looking into the matter.

ELECTROCUTED: A citizen was electrocuted in his house in the Muslim Town locality near Muridke.

Ashraf Awan was testing a motor when he received an electric shock. He was taken to hospital where doctors pronounced him dead.

ROBBERY: Five robbers barged in the house of Abid Mughal on Bhiki Road in the A Division police area on Tuesday.

They locked the family in a room and made off with cash, gold ornaments, mobile phones and other valuables.
