SARGODHA: Girl students maintained their superiority and clinched most of the top positions in the matriculation examination (annual) 2015 the results of which were announced by the Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education, Sargodha, here on Saturday.

As many as 75,067 candidates appeared in the examination and 54,630 were declared successful showing a pass percentage of 72.67.

The overall top position holders are: Azka Syed of Fauji Foundation Model School Girls, Jauharabad (Khushab), stood first by securing 1,069 marks, Ayesha Nofal of Sanai School System Girls, Satellite Town, Sargodha, got second position with 1,064 marks while the third position was shared by Muhammad Talha of Dar-e-Arqam Model School, Sargodha, Nimra Zahid of Sanai School System Girls, Satellite Town, Sargodha, Hafsa Farooq of Government Comprehensive Girls High School, Sargodha, and Muneeba Amin of KCP Model Girls High School, KCP Colony Chowk Girote, Jauharabad (Khushab), with 1,062 marks each.

SCIENCE GROUP (Boys): Muhammad Talha of Dar-i-Arqam Model School, Sargodha, stood first with 1,062 marks, Muhammad Talha Khan of KCP Model High School, KCP Colony Chowk Girote, Jauharabad (Khushab), bagged second position with 1,061 marks and third position was shared by Okasha Zulfiqar of Overseas Pakistanis Foundation Public School, Bhalwal, Sargodha, and Muhammad Hussain Murtaza of Sanai School System (Boys), Sargodha, with 1,058 marks each

SCIENCE GROUP (Girls): Azka Syed of Fauji Foundation Model School Girls, Jauharabad, (Khushab), clinched first position with 1,069 marks, Ayesha Nofal of Sanai School System Girls, Satellite Town, Sargodha, got second position with 1,064 marks and third position was shared by Nimra Zahid of Sanai School System Girls, Satellite Town, Sargodha, Hafsa Farooq of Government Comprehensive Girls High School, Sargodha, and Muneeba Amin of KCP Model Girls High School, KCP Colony Chowk Girote, Jauharabad, (Khushab), with 1,062 marks each.

GENERAL GROUP (Boys): Sachal Saleem of Islamic Altavista High School (Boys), Sargodha, stood first with 983 marks, Muhammad Haroon Asmaad Hassan, private candidate of Khushab district, bagged second position with 961 marks, Usama Nisar, private candidate of Sargodha, got third position with 955 marks.

GENERAL GROUP (Girls): Rabia Mushtaq of Government Girls High School, Bhalwal, (Sargodha), stood first with 1,018 marks, Nosheen Sarwar of Dar-e-Arqam Model Girls High School, Sargodha, captured second position with 1,017 marks and Atia Noreen of Al-Tahir Public Girls High School, Khushab, clinched third position with 1,007 marks.

MULTAN: As many as 67,881 candidates were declared successful out of 91,725 in the secondary school certificate results announced by the Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education, Multan, here on Saturday. The pass percentage remained 74.

The overall first position was captured by Amina Khalil of Al-Siraj Public Girls High School, Basti Malook, with 1,078 marks. Fatima Yasmeen of Grammar Girls Secondary School, D Block, Vehari, and Muhammad Mahd Raza of Garrison High School, Mumtazabad, got second position with 1,077 marks and Aroosa Qasmi secured third position with 1,076 marks. All the candidates are from the science group.

In the general group, Hafiz Ghulam Muhiuddin of Madrassa Jamiaul Aloom, Masoom Shah Road, got first position with 1,040 marks. Saba Ghulam Rasool of Islamic Ideal Public Girls High School, Masoom Shah Road, and Aqsa Babar of the same school got second and third positions with 1,031 and 1,030 marks, respectively.

DG KHAN: Private educational institutes of Layyah and Muzaffargarh clinched overall first positions with higher percentage as Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education, Dera Ghazi Khan, announced its annual results of 2015 here on Saturday. The overall first position was obtained by Nabiha Fatmia of Punjab High School Girls Wing, Layyah, by getting 1,077 marks, Kumail Ijaz of Noble High School, Muzaffargarh, secured second position with 1,075 marks while Arslan Basit of Sardar Kaurey Khan Public Higher Secondary School, Muzaffargarh, got third position with 1,073 marks.
