LAHORE: Two school students were killed and a rickshaw driver sustained injuries in a road accident at Saggian bridge here on Wednesday.
Police said the accident occurred when the three-wheeler carrying two students ran into the truck after its wheel got separated from the frame. Consequently, Zain, 5, and Sajid, 7, both residents of Ram Kishenpura village, Sheikhupura, died on the spot while rickshaw driver suffered injuries. The truck driver managed to flee.
The Shahdara police have impounded the truck and are investigating.
