International recognition for TCF

KARACHI: The Citizens Foundation (TCF) is among 33 social entrepreneurs selected by Schwab Foundation for this year’s social entrepreneur award for their innovative approaches and potential for global impact.

The Schwab Foundation for Social Entrepreneurship works closely with the World Economic Forum to ensure that leading social entrepreneurs can best be integrated into shaping regional, global and industry agendas through the forum’s unique platforms.

TCF is one of Pakistan’s leading organisations in the field of formal education for less privileged children. It has established more than 1,000 purpose-built school units in rural areas and urban slums with an enrolment of 145,000 students.

The vision is to remove barriers of class and privilege to make the citizens of Pakistan agents of positive change.

good job education must for Pakistans future. I urge all Pakistanis to donate heavily to educational charities like TCF. Teach people how to feed themselves rather than feeding them yourself

This definitely proves that there are some caring souls in Pakistan who not only need to be highlighted but supported full fledged. As a scholar once said, commenting on the below 40% literacy rate, "Had I been the PM of Pakistan, I would have announced emergency in the country to remove illiteracy". TCF is really doing a divine job. Hats off to you guys n gals.

After reading about Army public School TCF mission to build 141 schools each to be named after those who died, I donated a third of my monthly salary. What a noble organisation it is.

TCF are indeed a very well managed and efficient organization. I have been following their work since the 1990's. They are definitely in the top ten of charitable organization in Pakistan in my opinion.
