GWADAR: The general secretary of Private Schools Association, Zahid Ali, was shot dead here on Thursday.

Police said Mr Ali, who was a headmaster, was driving his vehicle in the town when he came under fire.

“Armed assailants opened indiscriminate fire at Zahid Ali killing him on the spot,” police said.

Police shifted the body to District Headquarters Hospital where doctors said the victim had received seven bullets in his body.

The body was handed over to heirs after legal formalities.

Police have lodged a case against the suspects and launched an investigation.
