Levies Force said on Thursday that six people were going home in Rodnejo area of Kalat district on Wednesday evening when armed men kidnapped them.

The abducted men belong to different tribes, Levies officials, adding that they were forced to embark a vehicle and driven away.

“Levies and other law-enforcement agencies have launched a search operation and they are trying to trace the whereabouts of the abducted tribesman,” a senior Levies official said.

The kidnapped men were identified as Ghulam Rasool, Khuda-i-Rahim, Masood Ahmad, Habib Khan, Yousuf Ali and Abdul Qadir Zehri.

Meanwhile, police found a bullet-riddled body in the mountainous region of Ferozabad, 20km from Khuzdar. The corpse was taken to the hospital where the man was identified as Nazir Ahmed Mohammadzai Mengal.
