MULTAN: In a surprise and pleasant move, newly-elected MNA from NA-149 Malik Amir Dogar called on veteran politician Javed Hashmi here on Tuesday at latter’s residence in the Cantonment area.

Hashmi lost the recent NA-149 by-poll to Dogar.

Talking to the media, Dogar said his visit was continuity of his family’s relationship with Hashmi.

“My father had been in jail with Hashmi and we have a lot of respect for him,” he said.

He said he was inspired by the services of Hashmi for the sake of democracy.

Hashmi said he would extend his cooperation to Dogar for the betterment of the city.
