SUKKUR: Two of the three bodies seen floating in Ghotki Feeder (canal) were fished out on Sunday while a search was under way for a third one.

Some residents of Chak Shahbaz village situated near Mirpur Mathelo town of Ghotki district reported to the Belo Mirpur Ronti and Andal Sundrani police stations in the morning that they had seen three bodies being carried away by strong currents in the canal.

A police team accompanied by divers and volunteers started a search for the bodies during which one of them was found near the Deh Fazil Bhayo section of the canal within the jurisdiction of the Andal Sundrani police station.

The second body was fished out from near Chak Shahbaz village within the jurisdiction of the Belo Mirpur police station while the search for the third one was under way till late in the evening.
