DERA MURAD JAM-ALI: A man and a woman were shot dead for honour by one of their relatives while another man committed suicide in Dera Allahyar area of Jaffarabad district on Wednesday.

Police said that one Dil Murad opened fire on his sister-in-law and Muhammad Altaf in village Arz Muhammad area of Dera Allahyar town.

“Both died on the spot after receiving multiple bullet injuries,” police said, adding that the accused escaped from the scene after committing the crime.

Bodies were shifted to the district hospital and later handed over to their heirs after completion of formalities.

So far, no one had been arrested, police said.

Meanwhile, a 50-year old man Kamal Khan committed suicide in Dera Allahyar over some domestic issue. He used a pistol to end his life.
