Imran should air his grievances in parliament: Khurshid Shah

SUKKUR: Oppostion Leader in the National Assembly Syed Khurshid Ahmed Shah has said that Pakistan Tehrik-i-Insaf's chief Imran Khan should play his constitutional role in the parliament and should use the avenue to air his grievances.
Speaking to media representatives at his residence on Tuesday, the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) leader urged the PTI chairman to come to sessions of the National Assembly and put forth his proposals for improvement in the electoral system.
Earlier, Shah had told reporters in Jacobabad that every political party had the right to protest against the government within the perimeters set by the Constitution.
Shah’s statements come as Imran Khan continues to make calls for the so-called “Azadi March” on August 14 in opposition to what he calls the Pakistan Muslim League – Nawaz’s rigging of the May 2013 general elections.
On a question relating to PPP’s Asif Ali Zardari’s visit to the US, Shah said it should not be seen as something out of the ordinary and that the trip had been planned and was part of a routine.
He said Zardari’s visit to America should not be politicised.
The opposition leader urged the government to talk to political forces and address their grievances, adding that the present government should be allowed to complete its five-year term.
Responding to another question, Shah said there was no reality behind the rumours of removing Syed Qaim Ali Shah from the office of Sindh Chief Minister, adding that Qaim will remain in office.

PPP duly changing their stance after Zardari's admonishment at the hands of Uncle Sam. They all think that playing with Pakistani public is a joke. Imran Khan is right, the most important thing this country needs is a true democracy i.e. a legitimate electoral process. Count me in for this historic movement.

Pakistan Peoples Party is now just a regional Party and almost eliminated in other Provinces, now Khursheed Shah is blowing hot & cold in same breath, one day he says something & next day he teracts which shows PPP is also confused which side to take. Zaradari's US visit was politicized by PPPs own Shehla Reza, how can now Khursheed Shah tell not to politicize it? By the way Zardari can go to his masters in the US but not to IDPs, is he to much afraid of his life?

All should stop spreading hate against the government. Only unity can bring forth a great Pakistan. The government from it's first day has always talked about taking on board all parties.
Electoral problems should be debated in at the NA, not the media. If this is not done, then people will not appreciate the line of responsibility that Pakistani politics provides.

Imran cannot air this grievances in the parliament as the parliament cannot do anything whatsoever, after one full year of asking for recounting into the said four constituencies nothing has been done, therefore, the time for airing grievances is over and the full blame for the state of affairs rests on the shoulders of Sharif brothers.

@Azmeen Really? So America, UK, France, Australia, Malaysia, Canada all have muk muka? Well, these countries are doing pretty well, unlike Pakistan. I would like to have the muk muka they have.

Okay Imran Khan stages a march, what happens afterwards. The people have elected this government, though, there may have been rigging, but not of proportions to upset the results. Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto overreacted in similar circumstances though he had won. This is a sensitive time for the country, the patriot should be informed, with an ongoing military operation. There have suicidal attacks, terrorism blasts in Islamabad in recent years, does he have no sense? Instead, he wants to lead a march. What is suggested here is absolutely correct, go to the parliament instead of leading 'goondas' on an ego boosting trip. The government also has communicate better with the people, their mandate is through them, the parliament.
