LAHORE: Jamaat-i-Islami emir Sirajul Haq says that governments in the country had been violating laws and the merit with impunity, resulting into lawlessness and unrest in society.
"The media should use its power for the establishment of the rule of law and recognition of merit in order to develop a peaceful society based on justice and equity," he said while speaking to the JI central media cell and leaders here on Saturday.
He urged the media to try to minimise differences of sects and factions to create an atmosphere of national harmony. "The national media should also play its role in reforming society and promoting national unity," he said.

That is too much to ask for the pro-instability and fanatically anti-democratic and pro-IK media. You see Pakistani media loves sensationalism and promotion of emotionalism and street mentality. Why am I saying this? Well because it doesn't criticize IK or any politician or even the Taliban when they make a contradictary or false statement. Which to me is promoting stupidity and popularizing lies. The West developed most when their media used to criticize and expose every sentence of any and every politician. I hope you will actually allow this comment through to be seen because this is a very serious issue.
