ISLAMABAD: Opposition parties in the Senate met here on Monday and discussed the controversial Protection of Pakistan Bill and vowed to block its approval in its present form.

The meeting, convened to devise a strategy on the anti-terror law, was presided over by Opposition Leader in Senate Chaudhry Aitzaz Ahsan and was attended by representatives of all opposition parties, including the Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM).

Sources in the opposition said all parties had been asked to give their amendments in the written form to be discussed in the next meeting on Wednesday.
