QUETTA: Balochistan Chief Minister Dr Abdul Malik Baloch has said that elimination of corruption, mismanagement and nepotism is the biggest challenge for his government.

Speaking at a meeting of the workers of the National Party in Turbat on Wednesday, he said resources of Balochistan would be utilised on education and health and protection of life and property of people.

Dr Baloch said his government had set up six universities, three medical colleges and a dental college and upgraded hundreds of schools because its priority was to promote education and health services in the province.

He said Balochistan was a backward area, so “we have to give all attention to education to meet global challenges”.

The chief minister said the problem of loadshedding would be resolved to a great extent after laying of transmission lines between Khuzdar and Dadu and Loralai and Dera Ghazi Khan next month

He said talks with Iran on border trade and setting up of three immigration centres were moving in a positive way.
