Japan's new solid-fuel rocket lifts off into the air from the Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency's (JAXA) Uchinoura Space Center in Kimotsuki, Kagoshima prefecture, on Japan's southern island of Kyushu on September 14, 2013. Japan's new solid-fuel rocket successfully blasted off carrying a telescope for remote observation of planets in a launch coordinated from a laptop computer-based command centre.
