FATEHJANG, March 23: A gang of alleged car-snatchers was arrested by police near here.

According to police sources Mohammad Ishaq, a resident of Faisalabad; Azam and Sohail, residents of Rawalpindi and Rashida Khalid, a resident of Sargodha hired a car (APP-Sindh 313) driven by Mohammad Saleem from Raheem Yar Khan for a tour to Faisalabad and Islamabad.

While traveling on motorway near Kheri Moorat Bridge located in tehsil Fatehjang, they allegedly snatched the car from driver on gun point, tied his hands and legs with ropes and threw him under a bridge on motorway. Some passersby set the driver free and informed the nearby police check post.

The incharge of check post, ASI Malik Mohammad Altaf along with his force blocked the road ahead and arrested the culprits along with the snatched vehicle.—A Correspondent
