ISLAMABAD, June 23: The capital police on Thursday arrested four persons including two women and recovered narcotics and weapons from their possession.

A police spokesman said that the Sabzi Mandi police searched two women at a checkpoint and recovered three kilograms of hashish from them.

The women, who had come from Peshawar, were arrested and shifted to the police station for further legal action.

The Bhara Kahu police arrested an alleged bootlegger and recovered 20 wine bottles. Likewise, the police also searched a suspect and recovered a 7MM pistol from him. Separate cases were registered against the outlaws and investigations were in progress.

SSP Tahir Alam Khan appreciated the police action against the anti-social elements and directed to nab the culprits to provide maximum relief to the citizens.
