Five militants killed

LANDI KOTAL, Oct 5 Five militants were killed when helicopter gunships targeted their hideouts on the Gurguri hilltop in Bara tehsil of Khyber Agency on Monday.

The helicopters shelled the hideouts for over two hours after militants attacked the Fort Saloop, 8km west of Bara bazaar.

Three troops were injured when rockets hit the fort, officials said.

Local people said five troops had been injured.

Bara tehsil remained under curfew. The Anjuman-i-Tajiran Bara bazaar called for relaxation in the curfew saying it had been affecting the business.
