QUETTA, Nov 24: The cellphone network and PTCL wireless phone service remained suspended in Quetta and various other towns of Balochistan on Saturday.

People faced difficulties due to suspension of the services in Quetta, Loralai, Kohlu, Dera Bugti, Kalat, Sibi, Mastung, Khuzdar, Turbat and Panjgur.

The services were suspended by the interior ministry on the request of the Balochistan government in view of security concerns during Muharram.

The mobile service will remain closed on Sunday.

Motorbike riding also remained banned in the provincial capital and security personnel seized dozens of motorcycles for violating the ban.

According to a notification issued by the provincial government, motorcycle riding will be banned on Sunday from 7am tomidnight.
