ISLAMABAD, July 13: President Pervez Musharraf here on Saturday, in principle, approved the setting up of new economic management group for inducting only professionals in the ministries of finance, commerce, planning commission, economic affairs division and other similar federal government departments.

According to official sources, the establishment of the new economic management group will finally be approved by the federal cabinet shortly to initially allow the induction of 25 economists and experts in the economic ministries.

Currently there were total of 25 per cent economists and professionals serving in the economic ministries and their number will gradually be increased through Federal Public Service Commission.
