FIFA award for late Omar

LAHORE, June 22: FIFA has awarded Centennial Order of Merit to a former Pakistan skipper late Omar Baloch, said Pakistan Football Federation (PFF) on Tuesday. The award consisting of a medal and decorations will be handed over to the legendary footballer's family next month by PFF president Faisal Saleh Hayat.

Omar, who resided in Karachi played for the national team for 10 years. He also remained national selector and dedicated his life to the promotion of game in the country before his death from a prolonged illness.
