LARKANA, Jan 10: The general body of the District Bar Association, Larkana in its meeting on Saturday condemning the attack on Babu Sarfraz Jatoi, a senior advocate, called for adequate action against the perpetrators.

A senior DBA member, Zia Ahmed Jalbani, presided over the meeting. He said that the police despite knowing the criminals was hushing up the case.

The DBA said that Babu Sarfraz was attacked twice within two days in the presence of police and even the culprits’ identity had also been established but the police did not take any action. The DBA called for providing protection to the senior lawyer. The general body decided to boycott courts proceedings on Jan 12 if police did not trace and arrest the attackers.

FIR: Dhamraho police station on the compliant of Zulfikar Jagirani has registered an FIR against 16 persons including 10 unidentified for killing three persons in Haji Karim Bakhsh Jagirani village on Friday.

Ghulam Serwar, Fida Hussain, Qasim, Khadim and others have been nominated in the FIR and booked under Sections 324 and 302 of the Pakistan Penal Code.
