BADIN / MITHI: A collision between a car and two motorcycles left four people dead near Wajoto bus stop, located in Sanyasar village along Badin-Mithi road, locals said on Saturday. Another man was injured in the accident.
Reports from the area and sources in a Mithi hospital said that the victims hailed from Malkani Sharif town. It was learnt that the riders of motorcycles were returning home in the town after taking part in the Independence Day celebrations a day earlier.
The deceased were identified as Shoban Leghari,18, Mehran Leghari,17, Reshu Kolhi, 30, and Asif Hingorjo, 25. The injured man was identified as Anwar Ali Kachhi, a resident of Badin.
In another accident, a man, Lalan Leghari, killed and his wife was injured when the car they were riding overturned and plunged into a roadside ditch near Saman Sarkar shrine. It was learnt that the couple was on their way to Malkani Sharif to attend a funeral.
In Nagarparkar, a young man, Maqsood Lakho, drowned while swimming in the Maya Dam. Locals fished out his body and handed it over to the heirs.
