Iran has decided to hold off on raising gasoline prices, Al Jazeera reports citing the Fars news agency, which cited government sources.
Mohammad-Saeed Ahadian, an adviser to Iranian parliament speaker Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf, has said on social media that the country’s leadership has decided that gasoline rates will not increase, and proposals not involving a price hike are under consideration.
“Therefore, government officials should not allow any action that could cause people to worry about an increase in gasoline prices,” he adds.
