Young man dies in car-bike collision

KARACHI: A motorcyclist was killed and his pillion rider injured in a traffic accident on ICI Bridge on Sunday.

A traffic police official said that the motorbike collided with a car. As a result, Janan Khan, 21, and Abdul Rehman, 27, suffered serious injuries. They were shifted to the Dr Ruth Pfau Civil Hospital Karachi, where doctors pronounced Janan dead.

The car driver, identified as Faheem Khan, was arrested and the vehicle impounded by the Docks police.

Area SHO Waqar Kaiser said apparently speeding was the main cause of the fatal accident. He said the deceased and the injured were residents of Baldia Town.
