KARACHI: The Board of Intermediate Education Karachi (BIEK) on Friday announced the results of the 2026 annual intermediate examinations for the Class XII Arts (Regular) group.
According to the board, Anshra bint Muhammad Taufiq of Iqra Huffaz Girls Science College, Block B, North Nazimabad, topped the examinations by scoring 926 marks out of 1,100, securing an A-1 grade.
Aaqib Razaq of Government Degree College Konkar Village, Gadap, stood second with 919 marks, while Humaira bint Muhammad Shakir Lakhani, also from Iqra Huffaz Girls Science College, secured third position with 918 marks. Both students obtained A-1 grades.
BIEK Chairman Faqeer Muhammad Lakho congratulated the position holders and said the success of the Government Degree College Konkar Village student reflected the hard work of the student, teachers and principal. He added that the strong performance of students from government educational institutions showed that educational standards in Sindh were improving.
Controller of Examinations Zarina Rashid said that 10,459 candidates had registered for the examinations, of whom 10,002 appeared. A total of 4,526 candidates passed, taking the overall pass percentage to 45.25%.
She said 20 candidates secured A-1 grades, 274 obtained A grades, 762 B grades, 1,647 C grades, 1,659 D grades, 164 E grades, while two candidates passed.
The results have been uploaded to the board’s website and are also available through the BIEK official Android application.
