KARACHI: A teenager is feared drowned after he was swept away in the sea near the Hawkesbay beach while another young man was rescued on Sunday, police and rescue services officials said.
They added that strong waves swept away the two men when they were swimming in the sea.
Edhi volunteers managed to safely recover 21-year-old Sahil but 18-year old Wajahat Amir could not be rescued.
Mauripur SHO Anser Iqbal said that the drowned teenager was a resident of Korangi 2 ½.
The body could not be recovered till late in the night.
