KHUZDAR: Unidentified armed men on Tuesday shot dead Inayatullah Jattak, the father of Asma Jattak, who was kidnapped two years ago.

The killing came a day after Ms Jattak released a video, in which she levelled a series of allegations regarding her abduction.

According to police, investigators have begun probing a possible link between the killing of Asma’s father with her high-profile kidnapping case.

According to police, the incident occurred in the Shehzad Town/Shokhro area, where the gunmen opened fire on Inayatullah, killing him on the spot.

Police took the body of the victim for legal formalities and launched an investigation to determine the motive behind the killing and identify the killers.
