Dr Vankwani honoured with Global Hindu Award

ISLAMABAD: Dr Ramesh Kumar Vankwani, former parliamentarian, and Patron-in-Chief of the Pakistan Hindu Council, has been conferred with the prestigious Global Hindu Award 2026 during the Dhanteras Gala 2026 ceremony held at Calgary, Alberta.

Being the only Pakistani citizen, Dr Ramesh Vankwani was awarded in recognition of his advocacy for minority rights, interfaith harmony, and global humanitarian service, says a statement issued in Islamabad.

Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney acknowledged the remarkable contributions of the Hindu community to Canada’s social, cultural, and economic development.
