QUETTA: Balochistan National Party (BNP) Senior Vice President Sajid Tareen Advocate on Sunday warned of a province-wide protest if three women, including the wife, daughter and niece of BNP leader Jumma Khan Nechari, allegedly detained by security personnel, were not released within a week.
Addressing a press conference along with former federal minister Agha Hassan Baloch and leaders of Voice for Baloch Missing Persons, he demanded the immediate release of the women and expressed concern over their alleged detention.Mr Tareen alleged that the three women were taken into custody by security personnel in plainclothes at Lakpass on July 30 while they were travelling from Kalat to Quetta. He identified the detained women as Bibi Rafia, the wife of BNP leader Jumma Khan Nechari, his daughter Sania, and niece Jawaira Bibi.
