New chief information commissioner appointed
PESHAWAR: Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government has appointed former bureaucrat Syed Nazar Hussain Shah as the chief information commissioner of KP’s Information Commission for a period of three years.
A notification issued from the information and public relations department said that on the recommendation of provincial cabinet, KP government has been pleased to appoint Syed Nazar Hussain Shah, ex-PCS, BS-21officer, as chief information commissioner, KP Information Commission.
It said that in terms of section 24 of the Right to information Act 2013, Mr Shah will hold the office of chief information commissioner for a period of three years until he achieves the age of 65 years, whichever occurs earlier.
