Foreign policy

PAKISTAN and its current foreign policy architects deserve all the praise for a series of sustained moves that continue to attract global attention. At a time of heightened geopolitical strain, Islamabad has earned global praise as a constructive interlocutor trying to ease tensions between the United States and Iran. Such diplomatic engage-ment reflects strategic relevance and a commitment to peace and stability.

For Pakistan, these efforts serve a dual purpose. On the one hand, they reinforce its credentials as a responsible state willing to facilitate dialogue in moments of crisis. On the other, they offer an opportunity to recalibrate its international image, shifting the narrative from security-centric concerns to one of proactive diplomacy. In an increasingly multipolar world, such positioning carries tangible diplomatic dividends.

India’s reaction, including remarks attributed to even government ministers, reflects a degree of unease with Pakistan’s renewed diplomatic visibility. For now, Pakistan’s efforts merit recognition. Whether they translate into lasting outcomes will depend on the continuity of policy and the depth of engagement.
