LAHORE: A sessions court on Monday extended the pre-arrest bail of YouTuber Iqra Kanwal and Aroob Jatoi, the wife of YouTuber Ducky Bhai, in a case related to alleged promotion of gambling apps on social media.

Additional District and Sessions Judge Zulfiqar Ahmed Naeem heard the bail petitions.

Both women appeared before the court along with their lawyers.

Their lawyers informed the court that the petitioners had joined the investigation and responded to all questions posed during the inquiry.

During the hearing, the investigating officer requested more time to conclude the investigation, saying the forensic report would take two weeks to be completed.

The judge accepted the request and granted time for submission of the report.

He extended the bail of both suspects till April 23 and also sought a progress report from the investigating officer.

The National Cyber Crime Investigation Agency (NCCIA) had registered a case against several YouTubers, including the petitioners, on charges of promoting and encouraging the use of gambling apps.
