ISLAMABAD: A delegation of Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) Islamabad has started meeting traders representatives to convince them for a strike on Feb 8.

PTI Islamabad Regional President Aamir Mughal on Wednesday visited Sangjani market and distributed pamphlet regarding strike on Feb 8. Later he also visited G-8 Markaz and held meetings with the traders.

Meanwhile, a joint delegation of PTI and TTAP held a meeting with Chaudhry Kashif, President of Tanzeem Tajran Pakistan, at his office to discuss the proposed Feb 8 strike.

The delegation included Janan Afghan, Khaliq Dad, Malik Aamir Awan, Kamran Abbasi, Rao Nasir, Farzand Ali Shah, Zafar Gondal, Aamir Qureshi, Ali Khan Niazi, Sabeen Younis, Naseer Ahmed, Irshad Bangesh and other members.

On behalf of the delegation, the traders’ union was requested to support the Feb 8 strike.

The delegation stated that the current government has pushed the economy into severe distress, and the traders’ community must raise its voice.

They said rising inflation, excessive taxation, and mounting business difficulties have made survival extremely challenging for traders, therefore, the Feb 8 strike can become a strong voice for public rights.
