LAHORE: The Lahore Development Authority (LDA) on Wednesday sealed 63 illegal commercial properties.

LDA Town Planning Wing took the action against illegal commercial properties and those for which commercialisation fee was not submitted.

The sealed properties include banks, private schools, pharmacies, hospitals, beauty salons, book shops, estate offices, clinics, shops and offices.

As per details, 10 properties were sealed in Gulberg, 21 in Shadbagh and Canal Road for not submitting commercial fee, while 10 were sealed in Azam Garden and 22 in the Government Employees Cooperative Housing.

Chief Town Planner-1 Asad uz Zaman and Chief Town Planner-II Azhar Ali led the operation and ensured across the board action against illegal commercial buildings.

Meanwhile, LDA teams, in an operation against land grabbers, vacated eight 10-marla plots worth millions of rupees in different city areas. LDA teams and police jointly conducted the operation and removed illegal land grabbers and encroachments from LDA properties.

Earlier, LDA Vice Chairman Mian Marghoob Ahmed, Special Assistant to the Chief Minister Rashid Nasrullah and LDA Director General Tahir Farooq inaugurated four parks in NA-130, Union Council 57 and Union Council 59.

In UC-57, Firdous Park, Khajoor Wali Park and Emergen Hostel Park were inaugurated, while in UC-59, Johri Park was opened.

A few days earlier, Lytton Road Park and Children Park, Rajgarh, were also inaugurated in NA-130.
