At least 40 people have been killed in Israeli attacks across the Gaza Strip since dawn, according to medical sources speaking to Al Jazeera.

A source at the Baptist Hospital in Gaza City said a child was among two people who were killed in Israeli bombardment in the Sabra neighbourhood in the city’s south.
