LAKKI MARWAT: Unknown terrorists blew up the gas valve assembly of Sui Northern Gas Pipelines Limited near Bhana Manjiwala area in Lakki Marwat district on Tuesday night.

A police official said that the terrorists affiliated with banned Tehreek-i-Taliban Pakistan had planted explosives along the SNGPL installation, which went off with a bang. He said that the explosion partially damaged the facility.

The official said that the police reached the venue of the explosion and collected evidence.

“After the blast police beefed up security in the area and increased patrolling on roads and highways,” he maintained. He said that security was also tightened around important government installations.
