PTI workers rally for Imran’s release

LAHORE: Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) supporters took to the roads on motorcycles in various cities, including Lahore, demanding the release of party founder Imran Khan. Chanting slogans such as “We will save Pakistan” and “We will get Imran Khan released,” the rallies drew crowds of flag-waving workers.

Participants linked their protest to the current regional tensions, saying Imran Khan was essential to lead the country in the face of the Indian aggression. Many held banners declaring that “Pakistan needs Imran Khan” and pledged to stand behind him for the nation’s defence.

In Lahore, the motorcyclists displayed both national and party flags. A number of supporters expressed frustration with the current political leadership, calling for unity under Khan’s vision. “The nation is united, and Imran Khan is the only leader who can protect our sovereignty,” said one participant.

PTI Punjab’s chief organiser Aliya Hamza Malik criticised the current leadership, saying the people rejected those “selected through Form-47s” — a reference to alleged electoral manipulation. She said Punjab’s silence in the face of Indian aggression was unacceptable and demanded the provincial chief minister step down if she could not respond to the situation.
